Summary

From 17 to 21 October the Office invited an international expert to deliver a one-week training course on the “DarkNet” to 25 representatives of the police, General Prosecutor’s Office, Investigative Committee, National Security Service, Ministry of Defense, National Bureau of Forensic Expertise. The “DarkNet” is a portion of the Internet that can only be accessed with specific software, configurations, or authorization, often using non-standard communications protocols and ports. The purpose is to hide not only communications but the fact that information is being exchanged.
