Summary

On 2 December, a two-week training-of-trainers course was completed for ten Afghan Border Police and fourteen Tajik Border Troop officers. The event was part of the OSCE border security programme organized in co-operation with the EU-funded and the UNDP-implemented Border Management of Northern Afghanistan (BOMNAF) program.

Lesson plans and methods to conduct training sessions, the introduction of programme planning and the principles of adult learning were the main focus of the training. An international expert from the US-based Law Enforcement Associates Development Educational Resources delivered the training in conjunction with instructors from the Tajikistan-based Russian Border Advisory Group.
