Summary

On 14 December, the Project Co-ordinator in Uzbekistan (PCUz) in co-operation with the Inter Agency Anti-trafficking Commission conducted a specialized workshop for the executive secretaries of territorial branches in Qarshi (Western Uzbekistan).

The main aim of the workshop was to promote anti-trafficking co-ordination between the prosecutors, police, health and social service providers, women’s committees, local neighbourhoods, and NGOs. The workshop was opened by the Governor of the Region, who also delivered a presentation on the ways to ensure the effective co-ordination of anti-trafficking activities.
