Lesson 1.3: Project management training for Local Public Safety Committees (LPSCs)

Description

Material for a 3-hours lesson plan consisting of modified lecture and exercises, part of the Capacity Building Training for LPSC Partnership Building Module, developed by the OSCE Mission in Kosovo

Summary

Over recent years, nearly all Organisations have become increasingly involved in project implementation. The purpose of this training session is to provide a complete reference guide to how project proposals are prepared and what are specifics that all project managers or project support team members should take into consideration while drafting project proposals. Different donor organisations have different requirements and different templates but the principles are the same, so you as LPSCs members (or individuals) have to know the main principals how to write Project Proposals in order to manage to meet the requirements of different donor organisations and increase the chance of problem solving through the project implementation.

The purpose of this lesson is to familiarize the members of Local Public Safety Committees with the key features and elements of the project and provide knowledge and skills necessary for drafting Project proposal.

After this block of instruction the participants will be able to:

  1. Determine the key features and elements of a Project and explore tips for drafting project proposal.
