Description

The purpose of the workshop was to sensitize regional law-enforcement agencies and other actors on anti-trafficking and elaborate on the role of the front-line officers in combating trafficking in human beings.

Summary

This seminar is one in the series of seminars the Office will conduct in 2011 throughout the host country to sensitize the regional actors of the National Action Plan for Combating Trafficking in Human Beings to improve the identification and protection of potential and presumed victims of trafficking.

The workshop was led by a police expert from the Strategic Police Matters Unit of the OSCE Secretariat, the Hungarian National Bureau of Investigation and representatives of the OSCE Office in Baku, International Organization for Migration and a representative of the Anti-Trafficking Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
