Mission to Kosovo hosted a workshop to summarize the activities conducted through the Community Safety Coordination Office in 2015

Summary

On 10 December, the Mission to Kosovo supported the staff of the Community Safety Coordination Office (CSCO) in organizing a summarizing workshop to review the implemented activities in the area of community safety.

The workshop gathered twelve participants representing the CSCO, Ministry of Internal Affairs, Kosovo Police Directorate of Community Policing and Crime Prevention, the Mission and the International Criminal Investigative Training Assistance Program (ICITAP).

During this event, the CSCO staff reported on the progress achieved focusing on the last quarter of 2015, whereas the representatives of the Mission and ICITAP presented their capacity building plans in support to community safety forums for 2016.

In addition, shortcomings and the existing gaps for proper functioning of the Office, as well as the ways how to improve its work in the view of handing over the Mission’s efforts related to community safety forums by the end of 2016, were also largely discussed.
