Mission to Skopje supported a conference on the prevention of violent extremism and radicalization

Summary

On 30 October the Mission to Skopje supported a conference held in Skopje on preventing violent extremism and radicalization leading to terrorism (PERT).

The aim of the PERT project is to strengthen the capacity of police officers to counter violent extremism and to raise awareness of the benefits of utilizing police-public partnership techniques as a means of countering the challenge of violent extremism.

Speaking at the event, the HoM said, “This project will help first-line police officers to detect indicators of radicalization at an early stage and prevent such phenomena through a community policing approach”.
