Regional cybercrime training in South-Eastern Europe, Belgrade, Serbia

Description

The event has been organised by the OSCE Strategic Police Matters Unit in collaboration with the OSCE Mission to Serbia and The Republic of Serbia Ministry of Interior with goal to build cybercrime investigation capacity in the Balkan Region and facilitate establishment of specialized cybercrime units.

Summary

The 3-week course for 20 police officers was organized using the material and trainers from the the University College Dublin’s School of Computer Science and Informatics. Students who successfully completed the training received academic credit.

The course is designed to give investigators an introduction to computers, computer operating systems, computer crimes, computer forensics, and computer investigative resources. 

The training was made possible due to donations from Norway, the United States and Finland.
