Mission in Kosovo provided training of trainers on robbery and burglary investigations

Summary

From 31 August to 4 September, seventeen Kosovo Police officers attended a training of trainers on robbery and burglary investigations delivered by the Mission in Kosovo. This training was centred on teaching the participants to cascade the topics focusing on the goal of a successful robbery and burglary investigation; identification of the relevance of modus operandi or unique characteristics in burglary offenses; identification of the most common methods used to commit burglaries and robberies; investigation methods to investigate “tiger kidnappings”. Additionally, the training taught the participants how to enhance witness interviewing skills in order to obtain maximum information and how to conduct investigative examinations at the crime scenes.
