Summary

From 16 to 27 May, the Office organised two separate Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) level 3 courses for Russian and Tajik/Dari speaking groups of students. In total, 40 trainees attended the course coming from the Ministries of Defence (MoD), National mine action centres, Border Troops and accredited non-governmental Mine Action organizations from five countries: Armenia, Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. Former graduates took part the course in the capacity of junior instructors. The EOD level 3 course was developed and delivered by the US ARCENT, hosted by the MoD of Tajikistan and certified by Tajikistan National Mine Action Centre.
