Summary

On 24 September the Project Co-ordinator in Baku (PCiB) signed a grant agreement with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) as part of the implementation of an ongoing comprehensive project on countering human trafficking in Azerbaijan.

The project includes a set of activities with a major focus on victim referral and assistance. In the framework of the project, the Mission will assess the shelters’ activities on rehabilitation as well as reintegration mechanisms for trafficking victims.

It will also provide financial support to civil society-run shelters in Baku and Ganja, organize training activities for service providers and shelters to improve the fundraising and sustainability of shelters, as well as conduct public awareness campaigns and facilitate prevention and prosecution of child labour.
