Summary

On 4 October, phase 1 of the extra-budgetary project “Strengthening Border Guard Capacities in Turkmenistan” concluded at Imamnazar border crossing point on the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan border.

Phase 1 of the training consisted of a four-week general patrol course, which delivered light infantry skills for surveying and patrolling green border areas and a two-week tactical combat casualty care course to improve medical skills.

The courses were delivered by two international trainers and attended by 20 officers of the State Border Service of Turkmenistan (SBS).
