Summary

On 22 and 23 December the Presence in Albania, in close co-operation with the OSCE Mission to Montenegro, organized joint training between the border police officers of Albania and Montenegro, focusing on the specifications of the Albanian and Montenegrin biometric passports and ID cards. Some 40 border police personnel from Muriqan and Han i Hotit border crossing points participated in the training. The knowledge obtained will facilitate communication and inter-operability between the personnel of the two border police agencies and therefore assist in the fight against trans-border crime, while simultaneously supporting the consolidation of best practices and international standards.
