Summary

On 8 December the Presence in Albania, in co-operation with the Office of the Albanian National Anti-Trafficking Co-ordinator and the OSCE Mission to Montenegro, organized the signing of a protocol between Albania and Montenegro on co-operation in the area of anti-trafficking. The protocol was signed by the National Anti-Trafficking Co-ordinators of both countries. The signing followed preliminary meetings held in Tirana and in Podgorica, which were supported by the Presence in Albania, to negotiate the protocol and discuss tangible ways to enhance bilateral cooperation. The protocol envisages regular exchange of information among law-enforcement and social welfare agencies, joint training and investigations to detect and fight human trafficking.
