The aims of the conference were to raise awareness of the new challenges and opportunities in fighting Internet threats and to help share best practices across different sectors.

Summary

Polish and German Safer Internet Centers were pleased to invite to attend the 3rd International Conference "Keeping Children and Young People Safe Online", which took place at the Marriott Hotel in Warsaw, on 29-30 September 2009.

The Warsaw conference brought together representatives from the education sector, NGOs, law enforcement, government and industry. It addressed a wide variety of issues relating to children and young people's safety online, such as cyberbullying, blogs, social networking sites, chats, fighting and blocking child abuse images, mobile phones, privacy, spam, online gaming, research, etc. Sessions were led by recognised international experts in the field of child protection.
