As part of the Community Security Initiative, the Centre in Bishkek conducted a training on human rights

Summary

A training on human rights to LCPC members was conducted in Osh province, where discussion on children’s rights, women’s rights and the work of the Aksals Court ensued among the participants. During the reporting period over 48 police cadets were offered training together with Instructors of the Police Training Centre on police ethics and code of conduct.

During the first quarter, 81 police cadets were trained on effective presentation and communication skills. Over one thousand citizens made use of mobile police reception vehicles (MPRs) during the month of March. The percentage of women approaching the MPR with their concerns and requests was 32 percent, a clear indication of developing trust in the police.
