On May 19, 2015, a meeting with the members of the Public Council on Police Reform was held in the conference hall of the OSCE Office in Tajikistan. The meeting brought together representatives of the Public Council on Police Reform under the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Counter Terrorism and Police Issues unit (CTPU) and Human dimension department of the OSCE Office in Tajikistan.
During the meeting annual operational plan and work plan for 2015 were introduced by Public Council members. Those plans were reviewed and approved during previous meeting of the Public Council under the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Also, representatives of the Public Council reconciled plans for development and production of posters in the amount of 5,000 copies, which will be placed at the entrance of all police stations throughout the country.
In addition, participants were briefed on plans for 2015 within the working plan of CTPU of OSCE OiT. Also, the Police Reform project coordinator of the OSCE OiT introduced the objectives of the extra-budgetary Police Reform project, which is closely linked to the work of the Public Councils, domestic violence and gender equality.
