Summary

On 13-14 May, the Mission conducted background research and provided recommendations for civil society participants at the first workshop “Supporting Civil Society Initiatives to Empower Women’s Roles in Countering Violent Extremism and Radicalization that lead to Terrorism” (VERLT), which was held in Istanbul.

The Mission facilitated participation for the NGO “SOS Telephone for Women and Child Victims of Violence”. The event is part of the Transnational Threats Department’s project on women and countering violent extremism.
