In the frame of its project to enhance the operational criminal intelligence and proactive capabilities of the Kosovo Police and Albanian State Police, from 23 to 26 January the Mission organised a four-day training on NVivo software for six Kosovo Police analysts. The training equipped the analysts with knowledge in entering, researching and analysing various intelligence items using a computer-aided methodology. It focused amongst others on data optimization, coding and analysis, retrieval and reporting of data, as well as on conducting literature reviews using NVivo. This training module further builds the skills of analysts from both police services to draft Serious and Organized Crime Threat Assessment (SOCTA) report in line with Europol standards. At the same time, it marks the final activity of this two-year project, which will also be delivered to analysts of the Albanian State Police with the support of the OSCE Presence in Albania in the following week.
