Summary

Between 24 April and 18 May, the Mission in Kosovo supported the members of newly established Local Public Safety Committees (LPSCs) in facilitating seven meetings with their respective communities. As part of its capacity building package for LPSCs, these meetings followed the two-module community policing training delivered by the Mission in April and May to around 40 members of four new LPSCs . They served to introduce the new members to their respective communities in the LPSC capacity, and to establish communication links with all actors working in the area of community safety.

Additionally, it assisted them to record the main problems and concerns identified, as well as to present their project proposals based on prioritized concerns, to be implemented in the near future with the support of the Kosovo Police, respective municipalities and other potential donors.
