Summary

On 18 May, the Mission in Kosovo supported the Kosovo Police in facilitating the final workshop to review the implementation of Intelligence-led Policing (ILP) Strategy and Action Plan 2013-2017. The workshop was held at the police headquarters in Pristina and gathered the working group consisting of senior police officers, Mission’s representatives and other international partners that assisted in its implementation.

It provided an opportunity to examine the achievements of the Kosovo Police against this strategy over the past four years, whereby the activities implemented during the reporting period were reviewed. In general, the Kosovo Police deemed the Strategy as successfully completed, whereas in line with the European Union recommendation for visa liberalization, the Ministry of internal Affairs recommended that the new Strategy is upgraded from the sectorial to governmental level to include all relevant government institutions working in this area.
