Summary

On 22 and 23 May, the OSCE Mission in Kosovo facilitated a workshop for drafting the concept document on amending the Law on Prevention and Fighting Cybercrime, adopted in 2010. Representatives from the Kosovo Police, Kosovo Agency on Forensic, Regulatory Authority of Electronic and Postal Communications, Agency for Information Society, the Mission and the International Criminal Investigative Training Assistance Program, formed the working group led by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, which developed the concept document that warrants the amendment of the current Law based on the dynamic developing trend of technology and its threats. Additionally, with the current Law containing outdated and untenable articles and paragraphs that are no longer applicable in the current context, the concept document addresses these issues and provides good recommendations that justify the initiation of amending this Law.
