Summary

On 1 and 2 April, the Mission in Serbia organised a seminar on tax fraud investigation for 25 economic crime investigators from the Ministry of Interior’s Criminal Investigation Directorate (CID) and two prosecutors.

The course aimed to improve participants’ skills for detecting money laundered using tax havens and to conduct forensic accounting, both vital investigative techniques in the fight against corruption. The course took place under the auspices of the project Enhancing capacities of the Serbian police to fight corruption, financed by the Norwegian Government, which contributes to fighting corruption by supporting the Ministry of Interior’s CID to enhance its investigation capacities.
