Summary

On 20 April the OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina organised a workshop on trafficking in human beings (THB) for the purpose of begging for some 40 police officers from Sarajevo Canton, Istočno Sarajevo Public Security Centre and the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA). The aim of the workshop was to familiarize police officers with THB-related provisions as well as to improve the co-operation between police agencies on combating THB. This workshop complements a peer-to-peer meeting for representatives of the judiciary, law enforcement, social service providers and civil society organised on 05 March and is part of the Mission’s wider efforts to strengthen domestic authorities’ capacity to counter human trafficking.
