Summary

From 3 to 4 March the Mission in Serbia organised training on privatisation and bankruptcy in Serbia for the core group of 25 Ministry of Interior (MoI) economic crime investigators and two prosecutors. The course, delivered by local experts engaged by the Mission, provided participants with an overview of Serbia’s privatization processes, the work of the privatization agency, examples of successful and unsuccessful privatisations in Serbia, and the role of the Bankruptcy Supervision Agency. The training aimed to enhance the MoI Criminal Investigation Directorate’s specialist knowledge of forensic accounting, including the practical skills and knowledge necessary for more efficient and effective investigations of economic crimes and corruption.
