Summary

From 31 May to 1 June, in co-operation with the OSCE Transnational Threats Department, the OSCE Mission to Montenegro hosted a workshop in Podgorica on the Advance Passenger Information (API) system. The event brought together 50 participants involved in the passenger processing sector from the border control and airport authorities and data protection experts. The event provided participants with an understanding of the processes required for installing an API system. Experts from the OSCE, International Air Transport Association, International Civil Aviation Organisation, and UNODC worked with participants in drafting a roadmap that will outline the steps needed to implement the system.
