On 7 June, in co-operation with the OSCE Presence in Albania, the OSCE Mission to Montenegro organised a meeting of border police from Montenegro and Albania in Ulcinj.
In total, 18 police officials discussed the results of joint patrols conducted in 2017 and outlined the main challenges in terms of their technical capacities and security threats. The meeting resulted in recommendations for engaging more police officers at the border crossings during the summer period to secure the flow of people and vehicles. The next regional meeting will be held in Shkodra, Albania in September.
