This training course was organized by the OSCE Mission to Kosovo in co-operation with the Ministry of Internal Affairs as part of the Mission’s activities to strengthen the capacity of the Interior Ministry to deal with transnational threats.
On 27-31 May, the Mission organised a five-day training course on Collecting Operational Intelligence Data on Terrorism at the Ministry of Internal Affairs’ (MoIA) Police Training Centre in Idrizivo, Skopje. Twenty-four newly-recruited staff members from the MoIA's.
Administration for Security and Counterintelligence took part in the training, which was delivered by three experts from the Turkish Intelligence Academy (ISAK). The training course covered the following topics: general crime, intelligence and terrorism, intelligence and strategies against terrorism, financing of terrorism, methods of collecting intelligence data and the efficient use of intelligence data.
Some 25 newly recruited police officers were trained on the financing of terrorism, methods of intelligence data collection, and its efficient use to prevent and combat terrorism.The training was delivered by three experts from the Turkish Intelligence Academy (ISAK).
