Summary

The workshop provided participants with an overview of the legal framework in the country for dealing with and preventing domestic violence, as well as best practices and standard operating procedures. It provided police officers with the opportunity to learn how to implement a victims-centered approach to such crimes, respecting the dignity of the victim, providing adequate referral mechanisms and psychological assistance.
