Summary

From 15 to 20 October, the Programme Office in Bishkek, within the framework of security sector governance and reform, supported the KAWSS in organising a six-day training course for 20 KAWSS members. The training was held in Issyk-Kul province and focused on the interaction between the state, law enforcement and local authorities in ensuring gender mainstreaming in the security sector, specifically to ensure gender-sensitive practices related to the work of security structures. One international and three local trainers were invited to conduct training sessions for the KAWSS members - representatives of the PGO, the MoI, the SBS, the State Service for the Execution of Punishments (SSEP) and others.
