Summary

On 15 June, the Office handed over a Mobile Police Reception (MPR) vehicle to the Karakol city police in the Issyk-Kul province. Since 2011, the Programme Office has donated twenty MPRs to the Kyrgyz Ministry of the Interior, with the goal of improving the police-public partnership, address security concerns in remote communities and prevent crime.

The Programme Office continues to provide capacity building and logistical support (limited fuelling) to the Ministry, ensuring the effective operation of the MPR units in the following five of the country’s seven regions: Chuy, Issyk-Kul, Osh, Jalal-Abad and Batken.
