Summary

On 18 November, the POiB, in co-operation with the Road Safety Department of the Ministry of the Interior, the Public Association “Road Safety”, the Public Fund “Pro Lex”, and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) supported an information campaign in Bishkek and the Chui region on the occasion of the World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims.

The purpose of the campaign was to encourage drivers and pedestrians to follow traffic rules and demonstrate positive behaviour. During the campaign, more than 500 booklets on the subject of safe behaviour on the road were handed out and explanatory work was conducted with drivers and pedestrians. The World Day of Remembrance for Victims of Road Traffic accidents takes place annually on the third Sunday of November.
