Summary

As part of the Mission’s effort to enhance PCCCs, on 21 and 22 May the Mission organised the third Regional Workshop on PCCCs in SEE, held in Struga. This year’s theme was joint inter-agency staffing and co-operation in countering cross-border criminality. The 26 attendees included representatives from the Border Police, Customs Administration, and other sectors of PSB of North Macedonia, as well as delegates from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Greece, and Kosovo.

The annual event is designed to exchange best practices and discuss future developments of PCCCs in the region. Experts from the Mission, the OSCE Secretariat, FRONTEX, the German Federal Police, and French Customs conducted technical sessions and for the first time, the event included a field visit to a PCCC (Kjafasan).
