Summary

Within the framework of the OSCE Police Assistance Program (PAP) a Community Police Unit (hereinafter Arabkir Local Police Unit) is being expanded within the structure of the Arabkir Police Department of the Yerevan City Police Administration of the ROA Police. The Turpanjian Center for Policy Analysis (TCPA) at the American University of Armenia (AUA) was contracted to conduct a baseline public opinion poll in the expanded location to evaluate and measure the performance of the Arabkir Local Police Unit. In order to have a baseline measurement, this poll was carried out prior to expansion of this Unit's zone of responsibility. The results of this public opinion poll will be compared with the results of a new public opinion poll six months after the Unit has started its work in the expanded territory.
