State Customs Service officers in Kyrgyzstan enhance their knowledge on combating illicit drug trafficking and its relation to cybercrime

Summary

From 15 to 19 July, the Programme Office in Bishkek, in co-operation with the State Customs Service (SCS), organised a training course for mid-level customs officers from Osh and Jalal-Abad on illicit drug trafficking, legalization of criminal proceeds, and cybercrime. It is the second training course in a series of five that will be delivered to customs officers from different departments countrywide. The training courses are provided in accordance with the recently adopted law “On Countering the Financing of Terrorist Activities and the Legalization (Laundering) of Criminal Incomes”, and aim to increase the SCS’s capacities in fulfilling its commitments under this law.
