Sub-regional Training on the role of information and communication technologies (ICTs) in the context of regional and international security

Description

The training is jointly organised by the Ministry of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the OSCE Transnational Threats Department and the OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Summary

Session 1: Taking stock of regional and international developments in cyber/ICT security policy, in particular Confidence-Building Measures. Establishing links between global discussions and efforts in South-Eastern European States

Session 2: Capacity building - identifying needs and challenges, giving an overview of private and public sector opportunities for policy makers and technical officers dealing with cyber/ICT security

Session 3: Sharing national perspectives, challenges, best practices and views on cyber/ICT security, the role of individual Confidence-Building Measures in promoting greater national cyber resilience

Session 4: Reflecting on the conclusions of the from Session 3 - open discussion on the role of the OSCE cyber/ICT CBMs and national legislation to promote regional cyber stability

Session 4.5: Presentation of the GFCE capacity mapping tool

Session 5: Facilitated scenario-based discussion designed around a significant ICT incident affecting OSCE participating States
