Description

Material for a 3-hour lesson, part of the Training Course on Community Safety Awareness Raising Programme, developed by the OSCE Mission in Kosovo for the Kosovo Police

Summary

The problem of drug trafficking and drug use is one of the global problems, but also a problem for Kosovo society. Lack of legal basis, unserious approach in terms of institutional and civic cooperation has made Kosovo a convenient place for carrying out criminal actions and attendance of various criminal groups. Besides that Kosovo is used as a transit country for illegal transportation of narcotic substances, today this phenomenon includes the addition of a large number of regular drug users, retailers and narcotic plant cultivators.
