• Information Bulletin on the Drug Situation in the Central Asian Region

  Prepared by the National Information and Analytical Centre on Drug Control and published with the support of the OSCE, this Bulletin contains information covering the current status and development trends in the drug situation in Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan for 2017, as well as measures taken in the fight against the international distribution of drugs. • Single Convention on Narcotic Drugs

  This Convention aims to combat drug abuse by coordinated international action. There are two forms of intervention and control that work together. First, it seeks to limit the possession, use, trade in, distribution, import, export, manufacture and production of drugs exclusively to medical and scientific purposes. Second, it combats drug trafficking through international cooperation to deter and discourage drug traffickers.
