Material from an international conference on fighting terrorism as a transnational threat to security, which was organised by the Project Coordinator in Uzbekistan in cooperation with the OSCE Transnational Threats Department
The participants of this 3-day training course (in Russian) acquire an in-depth knowledge of the United Nations Security Council regime and mechanisms as well as an active command of the listing and delisting processes. The course material also focuses on developing the skills necessary to properly evaluate and determine whether to list an individual or entity and assess the impact of the enforced measures.
The four-day training focused on definitions of terrorism and types of hostage takers and addressed different phases of negotiations, including understanding the situation and information gathering.
