In the framework of the Presence’s on-going initiative to support joint actions of the Inter-Institutional Group against Environmental Crime (IGEC), a technical forum with environmental civil society organizations (CSOs), was held on 21 September in Tirana.
The forum’s purpose was to outline to CSOs the IGEC group’s work and role, and to explore ways of co-operation between IGEC and CSOs when dealing with environmental crime cases. IGEC and CSOs agreed on a co-operation mechanism on reporting and information sharing. Furthermore, 12 IGEC members received certifications on fighting environmental crimes in Albania.
