Training on operational planning for Tajik Border Troops

Summary

From 25 February to 15 March, the Programme Office in Dushanbe trained 25 Border Troops Officers (2 women, 23 men) on standard operating procedures recently developed by the Office on risk analysis, evaluation of state borders protection and border patrol. One international and one national expert trained the participants on decision-making processes and implementation of operational plans.

Participants enhanced their skills on effective decision-making processes, including required procedures, information and timelines to be followed, as well as the successful implementation of operational plans in regard to border protection, while making use of modern technology such as radiolocation systems, engineering structures and barriers, and technical means of border control and customs inspection. The training was conducted with the finalized manual on standard operating procedures, which was developed by the Office in February in close co-ordination with the Tajik Border Troops.
