Summary

The goal of this lesson is to provide participants with an overview of training approaches and training methods and overall training methods identification “rules” that might be considered while identifying the most suitable of training methods to match the needs of their lesson.

At the conclusion of this lesson, participants will be able to:

  1. Apply the principle of Student Centred Learning
  2. List the most common methods of training that can increase learner understanding and retention.
  3. List three criteria that training designers should consider when selecting methods of training.
  4. Classify training methods in accordance with performance objectives, domains and levels using Bloom’s taxonomy.
  5. Identify training methods for specific training objectives
