Summary

The goal of this lesson is to provide the participants with a broad view and understanding of organised and trans-national crime, as they relate to human trafficking and to discuss measures to fight the effects of money laundering.

At the conclusion of this lesson, participants will be able to:

  1. Define the terms, Organised Crime and Trans-national Crime
  2. State at least four (4) important characteristics that form an organised crime group
  3. Identify and distinguish between the three (3) types of organised crime networks responsible for trafficking in human beings
  4. Define the term,” money laundering”, as related to trafficking in persons
  5. Identify measures to combat money laundering in relation to trafficking
