Material for a 3-hour lesson on usage of firearms, part of the Basic Training Program of Macedonian Police, developed by the Police Development Unit of the OSCE Spillover Monitor Mission to Skopje.

Summary

The goal of this lesson is to reinforce classroom lessons on safety, firearm manipulation and marksmanship techniques. Students will also gain confidence in their use of the weapon through practice shooting.

At the end of this lesson, the student should be able to:

  1. Identify and apply the safety procedures related to the firing range and its surroundings.
  2. Demonstrate firearms skills and accuracy in standing and kneeling positions at assigned distances, load exposures, fires, and exposures, scoring inside the 8-ring only.
