Training course on controlled delivery

Description

This 5 day course was developed by the OSCE Mission in Kosovo (OMiK) / Department for Security and Public Safety (DSPS), in co-operation with the Turkish National Police to enhance capacities of law enforcement agencies in tackling drug trafficking with special emphasis on Controlled Delivery

Summary

This project was designed to strengthen the capacity of Kosovo law enforcement agencies in operational and investigational activities as well as judicial procedures which are required for effective prosecution of drug trafficking organisations with special emphasis on Controlled Delivery.

The training was prepared according to the guidelines of the Controlled Delivery Manual produced in 2009 by OSCE SPMU (Strategic Police Matters Unit) together with SECI Centre (South Eastern Co-operation Initiative).

Theoretical training was hosted and conducted by Turkish National Police in Turkey. It took place at Turkish Academy Against Drugs and Organized Crime (TADOC) in Ankara, Turkey while the trainees included Prishtinë/Priština District Chief and Deputy Chief Prosecutor, six members of the Directorate for Investigation of Trafficking with Narcotics, one member of the police at the crossing points, one officer from Prizren region and one member of Kosovo Customs Service.
