Train-the-trainers Course on Domestic Violence

A comprehensive training programme on the efficient implementation of emergency restriction orders for law enforcement officers from the central districts of Moldova, due to changes in legislation on domestic violence.

Amendments to legislation on domestic violence empower police officers to stop acts of domestic violence via emergency restriction orders in acute situations. This is significant progress from the earlier system, in which a judge had 72 hours to grant the restriction order. This provision entered into force on 16 March 2017.
