Programme Office in Astana co-organised training on public speaking

Summary

From 13 to 17 February, the Office in co-operation with the United States Embassy in Kazakhstan and the Central Asian Regional Information Co-ordination Centre for Combating the Illicit Trafficking in Narcotic Drugs, Psychotropic Substances and their Precursors (CARICC) co-organized a training course aimed at enhancing officials’ skills in public speaking, communication and effective information presentation. Some 20 participants from across the country received training from the global training team of the United States Drug Enforcement Administration’s Office of Training on impromptu speaking, addressing speech anxiety, effective communication skills and the importance of body language in presentations.
