Summary

Validating the training programme is the penultimate step before a training programme is "finalised" and presented to the target audience. It is the last opportunity you have to ensure that the performance problem has been properly identified and that a training programme has been developed that eliminates it.

In this unit you will learn how important it is for you to know how to conduct a training course validation. You must also know how to review a completed training course to ensure that it has properly investigated the:

  • Learners,
  • Learning situation,
  • Performance problem 
  • How to reduce or eliminate it.

You will also learn how to present a "test session" of the training programme for final Evaluation and make any necessary adjustments.

The Aim of this unit is allow participants the opportunity to conduct, a training course validation.

At the end of this lesson the participants will be able to:

  1. Define the term "training programme validation."
  2. List the ten steps to be followed when validating a training programme.
  3. Present a "test session" of a training programme for final evaluation and make any necessary adjustments.
