• Kyrgyz police officer pocket handbook

  The pocket handbook was developed in 2010 by the OSCE Police Reform Programme for Kyrgyzstan for uniformed police for the first time in Kyrgyz and Russian languages to promote the culture of the rule of law among the Kyrgyz police.

  This Handbook is designed to assist police officers in the prevention of, and response to, violence against women by familiarizing them with relevant international laws, norms and standards relating to violence against women and informing them about some promising practical approaches to effective police response to acts of violence against women.   These recommendations were produced by the Serbian Public Relations Agency P.R.A. based on the surveys it conducted after four workshops, organized by the Democratisation Department of the OSCE Mission to Serbia, for Ministry of Interior Chiefs and Spokespersons of the Regional Police Departments.

• Progress report on police programme implementation and perspectives of further cooperation

  The progress report was presented at the 11th session of Executive Steering Committee held on May 26, 2009. The report provides an account of achievements and progress made in implementing the OSCE police reform programme and sets out the strategic directions for 2009-2012, developed by the Ministry of the Interior of Kyrgyz Republic with OSCE assistance.
